We currently have an opportunity for an Associate to join our Equity Capital Markets team

(ECM) within Global Banking in London.

The primary responsibility will be to support the team by helping to originate and execute a range of equity transactions including, amongst others, IPOs, rights issues and accelerated bookbuilds (ABBs).

Requirements

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting in the preparation and creation of client-facing materials for the origination and execution of equity products
- Assisting in the day-to-day project management of transaction processes, liaising both internally with other teams within HSBC and externally with clients and other advisors
- Frequent interaction with industry sector banking teams and other product and capital markets teams
- Providing clients with market updates
- Creating and interpreting financial models and transaction structuring
- Keep abreast of latest developments in the product area and keep the relevant stakeholders informed with regular market and transaction updates

Previous skills and experience
- Previous experience in equity capital markets
- A strong understanding of the financial markets
- Experience in developing marketing materials (pitch books and RFPs)
- Strong analytical and modelling skills and comfortable with financial data
- Committed to delivery of the highest quality work product with a strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of professional integrity
- A positive, pro-active and highly self-motivated individual with strong leadership qualities and work ethic
