NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. This post is for 19.8 hours, (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon to Sun 4 x 5hr shifts.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Phlebotomy Service covering inpatient wards within Clyde Sector.
The post holder will work as part of a team providing a venepuncture service for all specialties within both RAH and IRH sites. You will work to ensure target times are met and adhered to, for the prompt delivery of blood samples to the laboratories.
It is essential that the post holder has excellent timekeeping and communication skills, is flexible and adaptable, and can work well within in a team and also independently, while using their own initiative.
Ability and willingness to travel between both RAH and IRH sites frequently is essential for this post.
There are 1 x 19.8 hr posts available, though variable hours may be considered. All posts cover Monday to Sunday across Clyde.
