**This is a one-year** **fixed term role aimed at someone aged 21-30.**

**September 2023 - 30 August 2024**

**Location**: London with hybrid working
- 2.5 days in Parliament with a Conservative Peer, and for 2.5 days with the Joint Public Issues Team

This internship offers two joint placements between the House of Lords and a Church-based policy and campaign team.

It is an opportunity to be working alongside a Conservative member of the House of Lords and their staff as they seek to make a difference through the work of UK politics.
- Formulating briefings and helping to suggest and table amendments for key bills, legislation and statutory instruments in relation to education, parental rights, innovation and other areas of interest
- Representing Lord Wei at events, policy fora, party functions and help to build alliances with those from faith and non-faith backgrounds
- Planning, preparing and sending out communications digitally and occasionally physically and interfacing with stakeholders within and outside parliament to advance Lord Wei’s interest policy wise and politically.

The post starts in September 2023 and is based across the Houses of Parliament, Westminster, and home-based working.

The role is employed by the Methodist Church and would also be a part of the Methodist Connexional Team.
