Horizon Teachers are delighted to be working with an alternative provision based in Redbridge. The SEND School are looking for an experienced Special Needs Teacher capable of teaching a class of 8 KS2 pupils with varying degrees of complex learning difficulties.The teacher will have 3 Learning Support Advisors present in the classroom to ensure the children receive the correct degree of care. The school is Ofsted rated Outstanding' and intends to maintain this high level of education with the perfect Teachers andSupport Staff for the students' needs.
The school feels that it is imperative pupils are given the correct resources to overcome their barriers to learning as effectively as possible to achieve their full potential. Their students are children who have ASD with associated learning difficulties andcomplex behaviours. There are children in the class who have SLD and major communication difficulties, so experience working with SEN children that have varying levels of needs and independence is essential. The school follows a semi-formal curriculum thatis tailored to delivering the best education possible to each individual student and their unique needs.
**The school is seeking someone with**:

- Experience working in a school for children with severe learning difficulties.
- Experience in a mixed class of children with severe learning difficulties.
- Experience with students that have physical difficulty and autism.
- The ability to take the initiative and engage with children to support them in their work and play.
- The confidence to teach, make observations of their learning and be involved in personal care.
