Axon Moore are pleased to be working alongside a long-lasting client in their search to recruit a technically astute Tax Accountant to their specialist team following several generations of successful operations working predominantly within the North West.
**Progression Plan**
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Analysing client financial records for the last financial year
- Identifying potential tax deductions and savings and recommending strategies that align with business goals
- Advising clients about tax laws and how to meet requirements
- Completing and submitting tax returns and payments on behalf of clients
- Completing quarterly and annual tax reports
- Regular liaison with HMRC
- Following industry trends and tracking changes related to taxes
- Liaison with internal and external auditors
- Forecasting tax predictions to senior stakeholders
- Other ad-hoc duties

**Desired/Required Skills and Experience**:

- Working towards the attainment of ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT qualification
- Good knowledge of Sage and Xero software
- In-depth understanding of current tax laws, including laws regarding PAYE, self-employment, business and investment taxes
- Exceptional numerical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax matters in accessible terms and to forge effective internal and external working relationships
- Great analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
