**Job Title**: Finance Assistant

**Location**: Lichfield

**Job Type**: Full-time, 40 Hours per Week Contract.

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

**Requirements**: AAT Level 2 Essential, Level 3 Desirable.

**About the Role**:
Across every position in their business, they are looking for someone to ensure all work is carried out in an effective manner. Ensuring jobs are completed to an agreed timescale to the highest of standards with demonstration of high levels of customer serviceat all times. You will be working alongside the Finance Manager to support them in the production of accurate data for the management and Finance Director.

Completion of works reports to a high standard.

**Responsibilities**:

- Check and reconcile supplier statements.
- Liaising with heads of departments and external suppliers.
- Code, process and file high volume of purchase invoices using Sage.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Credit control duties monitoring customer accounts and motivating customers to pay outstanding invoices through statements, debtor letters, phone calls and, perhaps, sanctions. liaising with factoring company and setting up credit limits.
- Liaising with customers to resolve any queries.
- Building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally to ensure prompt payments from customers.
- Responsible for setting up new supplier accounts.
- Assisting with Month End Close Process.
- Raising Purchase Orders adhering to company approval processes.
- Daily Banking.
- Meeting targets and timescales for Financial Administrative Functions.
- Collating Payroll information for processing by external payroll company.
- A good level of numeracy, literacy, and general IT skill.
- Strong proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Experience of Sage accounting software or similar.
- Experience with credit control duties.
- A track record of making sound commercial decisions.
- An accounting/finance qualification - AAT Level 2 Essential, Level 3 Desirable.
