About the role
The role:
- _Responsible for oversight of the firms CASS function on a day-to-day basis. _
- _Provision of effective oversight / guidance of the firms CASS processes, ensuring the function is organised and controlled effectively, and complies with regulatory standards._
- _Active member of CASS committee, able to develop and react to operational plans. _
- _Close working with the Operations and Operational Finance teams, assisting with account queries and providing guidance on technical issues _
**Responsible for**:
- _Production and/ or review of the daily internal client money reconciliation, ensuring that the calculation is complete, accurate and timely._
- _Submitting the firm’s monthly CMAR return on a timely basis_
- _Maintain the third line of compliance defence by identifying, mitigating and managing operational risks in line with policies set out by the firm, including appropriate escalation and risk event reporting._
- _To manage the CASS audit and regulatory requirements_.
- _Ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements are demonstrated and attained_.
- _Daily review of allocated Operational accounts _
- _Production and/or review of the daily internal client money calculation._
- _Escalation of relevant business issues identified._
- _Monitoring of balance sheet accounts allocated to the post holder, with escalation as appropriate._
- _Ensure the operational effectiveness of all systems and controls in SS&C Hubwise Securities that are designed to achieve compliance with CASS_
- _Financial services knowledge and experience. _
- _Excellent communication skills_
- _Understanding of the regulatory environment and associated risks requiring management and/or escalation._
- _Critical Evaluation / Problem Solving._
- _Proficient at Excel _
