**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**TITLE Housekeeping Assistant**

**LOCATION **Trout Hotel

**RESPONSIBLE TO **Head Housekeeper & Housekeeping Supervisor

**STATEMENT OF PURPOSE**:
Responsible to the Head Housekeeper for:
- The effective cleanliness and maintenance of the Trout Hotel, with the aim that they provide the highest level of cleanliness throughout the hotel and provide excellent customer service.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

1 To ensure agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all bedrooms and public areas agreed with the Head Housekeeper.

2 To look for areas that the housekeeping department can improve on the cleanliness and facilities we offer our guests.

3 To provide excellent customer service.

4 Maintain the Standard Operating Procedures provided for the housekeeping department.

5 To ensure that all equipment, furniture and furnishings are maintained, checked and kept in good working order and report relevant faults.

6 Ensure that requests from guests are carried out in a timely manner.

7 Ensure that any complaints or feedback are dealt with in a timely manner and passed on to the Head Housekeeper.

8 Liaising with your supervisor and head housekeeper as required.

9 Take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of guests, property and the building.

10 To promote a safe, healthy and environmentally secure environment.

11 To ensure the ongoing compliance with statutory requirements relating to the work of the Department.

12 Adhere to all health and safety procedures.

13 Attend training sessions and training activities as requested.

14 Any other reasonable request of the line manager.

**Salary**: £6.28-£10.70 per hour
