**Housekeeping Assistant required**
**Temporary**: 15hrs per week (2 x days to include Sunday)
This is a part-time position to provide additional support to our housekeeping team during busy periods. We are initially looking for help over the next 6 weeks (until end April) but this may become a longer-term opportunity to pick up occasional shifts on a casual basis.
Initially we can offer 15 hours (2 x days) per week, to include Sunday + 1 other weekday. Shifts start at 7:30am or 10am and include a 30 min unpaid break, finishing either at 3:30 or 6pm. Meals are provided. To start as soon as possible.
- Rate of pay: £11.19/hr (Higham is committed to exceeding National Living Wage)_
You will work with a team of 4 other housekeeping staff in our busy adult residential college. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented housekeeper to join our team.
You will help us to maintain high standards of cleanliness, order and a welcoming environment in our characterful historic building. Duties include:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Change linens and make beds
- Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop floors
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Replenish amenities and supplies
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
- Follow all health and safety regulations
**Skills**:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
