**Salary: Grade 6 (£30,487 to £36,024 p.a. depending on experience)**
**This role will be based our university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.**
**Are you interested in helping to publicise and showcase the University’s world-leading research to local, regional, national, and international policymakers? Do you have experience in communicating complex topics to a range of audiences?**
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Officer to join the RIS Knowledge Exchange and Impact Team to support Policy Leeds, the University’s institutional engagement hub for building effective external policy relationships, both within the UK and internationally. Policy Leeds supports researchers to build deeper relationships and more innovative and impactful collaborations with policymakers. We help make connections, share intelligence and opportunities, develop best practice, and provide guidance, training and support for researchers wanting to deliver effective, impactful policy engagement.
You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and experience in building communications and engagement plans and communicating with a range of different audiences. Reporting to the Policy Officer, you will liaise with senior academics and professional services colleagues across the university to develop and disseminate policy briefs and blogs, organise and run events and create and disseminate content for websites and social media channels. You will also support communications and engagement activities conducted by the wider Knowledge Exchange & Impact Team in the Research & Innovation Service.
