Accounts & Tax Made Easy is looking for a local bubbly bookkeeper to join the team, ideally Level 3 ICB/AAT or above.

Initially the role is based on a subcontractor basis while the business expands, a practice licence and insurance is essential. The role and position will grow with the business so am looking for someone long term to develop skills and make the role their own.

You will be good at number crunching, problem solving and love to reconcile

Working mostly at home, a good set up including multiple screens, good working desk space and be able to work alone using your own initiative. The team will meet at the end of each month to go over the previous month, any sticking points and the coming month deadlines and absences, therefore must be local to Cheshunt or able to travel here regularly. Training will be between the office in Cheshunt and your working area at home.

Part of the role will include regular attendance at networking events, this will entail an early 7am start, at least once per month.

**Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for your clients, from complete bookkeeping, data entry, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT Returns and Month End Completion.

Using a range of software: Sage 50 cloud desktop, Sage for Accountants online, Quickbooks and Xero.

We offer some clients a regular office visit, monthly or quarterly to run over any queries with them, you would be required to be available for this for your clients.

You must have prior knowledge and understanding of payroll and CIS.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Salary**: £14.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
