**Accounts Assistant**

**£25,000 + company bonus**

Working hours Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm, and Friday 8.30am - 12.30pm

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant for our manufacturing client based in Coatbridge.

You would be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of company products, customers and supplier base. This is a demanding and responsible role in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines where you will demonstrate a flexible and proactiveapproach to your work, will be self-motivated, possess excellent organisational, customer service and time management skills, and have proven capabilities in handling multiple priorities and the ability to work under pressure whilst retaining attention todetail and accuracy.

You will be responsible primarily for the management of the sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and the impact of transactions on the management accounts, amongst other financial duties. You will be supporting the Finance Manager and ManagementAccountant in working in a small team in the smooth running of the department, striving to meet KPI’s and business strategy. Being able to react positively to unforeseen challenges and ensure any negative customer/peer impact is communicated, minimised andavoided where possible.

Responsibilities will include:

- Matching of GRN’s and purchase invoice processing
- Posting of credit card statements and petty cash receipts
- Posting bank payments and receipts
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Liaising with sales, purchasing and despatch teams on a daily basis
- Work to ensure continued compliance with HMRC and current tax legislation and our external auditors
- Ad hoc duties as required
