**Job Purpose**

As a Business Development Apprentice, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. You will learn and contribute to our tendering and fundraising processes, support the development of new services, and help us achieve our strategic ambitions for growth.

**What You'll Do**

Learn and Innovate: Develop the skills to research and evaluate opportunities that align with our strategic goals. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in driving our growth.

Bid Writing: Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will support in crafting bids for tenders, contracts, and new business prospects.

Insight-Driven: Utilise community and social value insight tools to strengthen our funding bids and share valuable insights with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Insight: Assist in the preparation of budgets for new business initiatives, contract renewals, and proposals, ensuring strict adherence to financial regulations.

Reporting: Learn to create high-quality performance and impact reports for funders and internal stakeholders, showcasing our successes and contributions.

Research and Development: Contribute to the research and development of fundraising opportunities, helping us achieve our strategic objectives.

Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with the latest academic research, government policies, and industry trends, and share this knowledge with our teams.

Data Management: Support in collecting, managing, and ensuring the use of data complies with corporate policy and legislation.

Collaboration: Attend industry forums and team meetings, actively participating in discussions to foster innovation and collaboration.

Continuous Learning: Actively engage in the apprenticeship which complements your role and regularly discuss your progress and receive feedback from your line manager.

**Your Network**

You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of teams and stakeholders our organisation, including our Business Development Manager, Senior Management Team, Operations Team, Support Services, Communications and Business Planning Team, and more. You'll also connect with local authorities, key commissioners, grant, and fund giving bodies, researchers, and regulatory bodies.

**Your Growth Path**

You'll work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your growth. You'll gain hands-on experience in bid writing, grant funding, business strategy, and operational support. Plus, you'll be part of our exciting 5-year business transformation program, "Fit for Future," embracing IT, organisational, and system changes.

**Your Skills and Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C) (A)
- Good level of written English (A/I)
- Strong organisational skills (A/I)
- Ability to work effectively and diligently at a fast pace and meet tight deadlines (A/I)

**Desirable**
- Educated to university degree level or equivalent (A)
- Knowledge of the needs of vulnerable client groups (A/I)
- Knowledge of current social policy related to social housing and communities (A/I)
- Experience of partnership development and maintaining successful relationships with funders (A/I)
