Waste Operative

We have an exciting Permanent opportunity for a Recycling Operative required working at a small but busy Waste Transfer Station based outside Uckfield. You will control and handle all waste streams on site, segregate all recyclable materials into appropriate waste streams.

Types of materials handled on site are: Hard-core/Soil/Green Waste/Cardboard/Plastic/General Waste/Wood/Metal

You will be required to fully comply with all Health and Safety instructions on the recycling facility and will work for the Supervisor on site. Ensure you area of work is kept clean and tidy and to report any H&S issues to the Line Manager immediately.

Working as part of a team, you'll be punctual, reliable, and able to focus on the task at hand and with enough character to see a job through. If you're a hands-on type of person who enjoys physical work in a team environment then please get in touch.

You will be trained to drive our front loading Machine loading the trucks and moving the waste around the site

Full training and PPE provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Sortation of recyclable materials

Immediate start / trial day available.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am - 5:00pm. & 7.00am - 12.30pm every 3rd Saturday.

**Salary**: TBC depending on experience

**You Must have Own Transport due to location being just outside Uckfield**
