Warehouse Supervisor

One of the top raw dog food suppliers in the UK, our customer, is seeking a warehouse supervisor to join their incredible team.

As a warehouse supervisor you will be in charge of making sure that the environment in the warehouse and freezers is organised in a safe and effective way, that goods are safeguarded by ensuring proper storage, handling, and stock movement, and that thestaff works as a team and is precise and efficient when picking and packing orders. The Warehouse Supervisor serves as a vital link between the Warehouse, Customer Services, and Operations departments by continuously monitoring and reporting stock amounts.

About the warehouse supervisor role:

- Collect daily orders and all relevant paperwork (delivery notes, courier labels) from Customer Services
- Ensure all orders are correctly picked, recording batch details
- Responsible for accurately and swiftly updating Customer Services and Procurement on stock levels and actions needed
- Oversee and assist with packing orders ready for collection by courier
- Return annotated customer delivery notes to Customer Service daily
- Responsible for all processes in the packing area
- Ensure daily awareness of expected deliveriesand ensure necessary preparations aremade
- Goods in goods out - following the correct procedures
- Hold regular and as-needed sessions to update the team
- Manage the packing crew actively and address disciplinary and attitude issues right away.
- Efficient delegation and serving as the team's first point of contact
- Make sure the packing area is tidy, organised, and waste is disposed of securely.

Essential skills for Warehouse supervisor
- Ideally within the food business, extensive packing experience, excellent understanding of customer deliverables, the impact of failure, and the expense of bad practises

- Strong people skills and leadership experience are needed to inspire and create teamwork and maintain it.Staff and management should be able to communicate effectively with you.
