Position: Food Preparation Assistant - Main Laboraotry - Full time

We are looking for Full Time Food Preparation Assistant with an industrial food production skill to support our team in the day to day running of the business.

If you're looking for a job that keeps you on your toes with great satisfaction, then you're in the right place. This is a role for the fast thinkers and hard worker, so accuracy is essential.

You will be trained on sampling, testing, measuring, and analysing in cooperation with the rest of our laboratory team. So, it is vital you keep up with the pace.

**Skills and qualities**:An organised individual, responsible, good time keeping, with an interest in Food measuring experience in a catering, production or factory industry would be an advantage. Experience or qualification is no needed as full training will be given.

- Willing to work hard and a good team player.
- A mature outlook and attitude are necessary.
- Able to read and write English.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Being able to handle different type of food.
- Fast learner
- Being able to stand on your feet for a long period.

**Job description**: You will be part of a busy laboratory team, testing food to UKAS, M&S and Tesco microbiological standards. Duties will also include cleaning and tidying of the lab, preparing samples for testing, and assisting Senior Staff members with their daily task.

**Hours**:40 hours per weeks Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 12:30-21:00pm.

**Holiday**:28 days paid holiday (including BH) pro rata

**Directions to One Scientific Ltd**:For your information there is a 7 day a week Park and Ride (Bristol A4 Portway) at the end of our road (Victoria Road), so we are easily accessible by bus from the city centre.

By train there is a small branch line 7 days a week from Temple Meads Station stopping at Montpellier, Clifton, and finally Sea Mills/Shirehampton approx. 0.5miles from our location in Avonmouth.

**Salary**: £21,736.00 per year
