Our Care and Support Services operate in 12 Local Authority areas predominantly in the North and East of Scotland; delivering over 16,000 hours of support a week with a turnover of ~£19m.

Ark is seeking an experienced and exceptional individual to lead our Care & Support Operations in to the next phase of Ark’s development. The role reports directly to the Director of Care & Support and holds line management responsibility for the regional management team and Participation function.

The post holder will work with the Senior Leadership Team to drive Ark towards realising the aspirations of its vision and mission and ensure that the organisational values are explicit and sit at the heart of everything we do.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team your primary role is to provide strategic leadership that delivers effective governance for Ark and to put in place risk managed strategic plans that will ensure the continued development of the organisation within operating models that are both viable and sustainable over the longer term.

You will be responsible for developing and prioritising the business plan for your area of work and have a significant contribution to the overarching organisational strategy. Your role is to shape, deliver and embed organisational strategies and learning to build an Ark culture, that aligns to our values and will achieve sustained high performance. Integral to this is the development of innovative person centered and outcome focused services to people which supports them to live the life they want.

This is an exciting role and comes at a time where Ark have undertaken a major piece of work where we have reviewed and developed our Business Plan for the period 2023 - 2026. This business plan will see Ark reshape as a modern, future-focused organisation that will positively impact on the lives of its tenants, supported people and staff.

The strategic aims of the revised business plans are to:
