Overview:
Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe is currently seeking an
**Interim Head of Financial Operations** to be accountable for the overall delivery of timely, accurate and insightful financial information to UK ExCo, UK FD and wider finance community. The role is FT hybrid, with 8 days per month in either our London or Newcastle office and will be for an initial term of 9 months. The salary band for this position is £90,000-£110,000 depending on experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Regular operational accounting (premiums, ancillary income, claims, quota share, XOL) for all UK business units
- Accountable for balance sheet reconciliations and effective controls, working with stakeholders across the business to manage the processes efficiently
- Accountable for the smooth and timely running of the AP (accounts payable), AR (accounts receivable) for all UK businesses and transactional banking activities
- Oversee and manage the work of the Group Treasury Controller, with responsibility for the UK and European Group’s banking arrangements and liquidity.
- Monitor and plan the UK company banking and liquidity arrangements, including regular cash flow forecasts and the smooth operations of payment authorisations across the UK senior management team.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

- Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience
- Leadership of an operational finance function within a financial services or similar regulated business
- Experience in growing and developing finance professionals to their maximum potential and maintaining a consistent level of performance across multiple teams.
- Experience running effective AP or AR functional teams.
