As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Deputy Team Leader to join our dynamic team and contribute to our vision.

As the Deputy Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our supported accommodation. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of our young people. Collaborating closely with the Team Leader, you will lead a team of dedicated staff members and create a nurturing environment that promotes development opportunities and positive experiences for young people.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Team Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the homes, promoting a safe and caring environment for all young people.
- Assist in the overall management and supervision of staff members, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Work closely with the Team Leader and support team to develop and implement support plans and safety plans tailored to meet the needs of each young person, ensuring their well-being.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of each young person’s progress, working collaboratively with relevant professionals, families, and external agencies to create person centred support plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment within the home, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment for the young people.
- Participate in team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Handle any crisis situations or incidents promptly and effectively, ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures and strategies.
- Support the Team Leader in the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance.
- Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encouraging their participation and listening to their perspectives.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families practitioner.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in supported accommodation or similar setting.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings as required.
