An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join the Radiology Admin team at Salisbury District Hospital.

We are looking for someone who can work ideallyfull-timehours to join a dynamic, friendly, and welcoming department. Other hours may be considered but must be discussed at interview.

Provide a high standard of administrative and clerical skills, within Radiology, to promote an effective and efficient administration service while providing accurate, timely, proficient information in a professional manner in accordance with guidance and protocols thereby ensuring effective communication.

Prioritise workload in accordance with clerical duties, including preparing Consultant Rota's, Typing of Clinic Letters, taking and transcribing of meeting minutes, gathering statistical data, entering information onto patient information systems, telephone communication with patients and internal referrers.

- Prioritise workload in accordance with clerical duties
- Prepare & distribute Consultant Rota's
- Undertake typing of Clinic Letter
- Take and transcribe Meeting Minutes
- Gathering statistical data, entering information onto patient information systems
- Undertake telephone communication with patients and internal referrers

Retrieve and store confidential information of patients from internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner in accordance with guidelines therebycontributing to an effective service
- To action or liaise with other colleagues to ensure that all clinical commitments during the Consultants planned absence are cancelled (adhering to Trust policy) or redistributed to other Consultants to ensure maximum clinical utilisation
- Be responsible for ordering of Stationary
- Protect all confidential information in accordance with the Data Information (Protection) Act and Caldecott
- Completion of Mandatory Training
- To be involved in personal development through yearly appraisals
