**Job Purpose**:
Our client have an exciting opportunity to become a key member of their Supply Chain team responsible for Inventory Control and Purchase Order processing for EU/UK/Far East suppliers to stock levels as dictated by demand and in conjunction with working capital controls. To purchase bespoke products based on Customer Back Orders.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Stock Control**:

- Monitor stock levels using Excel based forecasting models by stock ABC category and by supplier on a daily/weekly basis as appropriate and place orders with EU / UK / Far East suppliers according to requirements.
- Ensure goods are ordered in line with prior year data and available forecasting information.
- Report on slow and obsolete stock monthly for appropriate suppliers returning excess stock where appropriate.
- Manage stock levels within the company working capital targets.
- Manage alternative suppliers as appropriate for key stock lines but within the appropriate costs and lead-times.
- Provide relevant suppliers with stock forecasts (wins and losses) for key stock lines.
- Targets: Stock reduction / SKU reduction / First Time in Full.
- To participate in twice yearly stock takes.
- Recommend changes to existing systems to improve stock availability
- Maintain CPNP database.

**Purchasing**:

- Place orders with suppliers for stock ABC lines, Bespoke Lines and On Demand Lines.
- Maximise savings with key suppliers by ordering in appropriate amounts to ensure quantity breaks are achieved.
- Ensure familiarity with key suppliers as regards manufacturing / shipping lead-times and ensure cost changes are communicated to Commercial Team.
- Responsible for complete process: purchase order processing, confirmation, chasing and consolidation of orders for collection / delivery within agreed lead-times.
- File all orders, confirmations and reports as per the relevant company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all relevant company computer procedures are implemented and actioned in full.
- Deal with relevant supplier or customer queries / feedback and action, as necessary.
- Work with Finance Team regarding supplier invoice queries and credit notes as appropriate.
- Assist with Product Coding and Product Information Management as appropriate.
- **General**:

- Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with all colleagues as required.
- Recommend changes to existing systems to improve stock availability. Maintain CPNP database.
- Participate in twice yearly stock takes.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years practical experience in a fast-paced FMCG, Distribution or Manufacturing environment
- Experience of working as a user of ERP system and data in an Inventory/Purchasing or Distribution role
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong prioritisation and time management ability with a focus on attention to detail
- Self-motivated and persistent with the drive to succeed
- Computer Literate / Numerate
