**Job summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to support our Pay and Reward capability as we embark on organisational transformation. The Pay and Reward Adviser is a delivery focussed role within the Employee Experience team and will support the development of reward, recognition, pay and benefits, which support Dstl becoming a brilliant place to work. The team are responsible for developing a modern employment offering, including pay, reward, engagement and inclusion, aiming to create a great working environment for Dstl to get the most out of its people.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Employee Experience Team and the wider People, Engagement and Communications Division, including HR Business Partners, Communications and Organisational Development colleagues, to ensure advice and guidance are aligned to professional HR standards, business requirements, and the wider Civil Service objectives.

This is a challenging but exciting role and this opportunity may suit a generalist HR practitioner looking to gain pay and reward experience.

**Job description**:
**In this role you will**:

- Support the development of the organisations new pay and reward strategy, to enhance attraction and retention of key skills to develop and negotiate the annual pay remit
- Work with a wider HR team and Trade Unions to deliver pay and reward solutions
- Work across government to identify new solutions and opportunities within the Pay and Reward field
- Support the preparation and papers required for Dstl’s Executive Management Committee, Dstl’s Board and for MOD
- Carry out regular benchmarking and market related pay and reward research
- Support and on occasions lead, pay related projects, such as review of allowances and Gender pay
- Lead on reporting, equal pay audit reviews, salary bench marking, changes to pay policy
- Support and occasionally lead, implementation of wider reward projects and governance
- Ensure that the systems supporting pay and reward are maintained and up to date
- Ensure legal and legislative requirements are met across the pay and reward remit

- An eye for detail, enjoy analysis and creative problem-solving, and have strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- A strong team player with experience of delivering multiple projects in a busy environment. You will be customer-focused, professional and resilient.
- High levels of self-awareness and situational awareness with a natural ability to appropriately adapt your style.

**Important Information***

This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
