**Purpose of the role**

The Apprenticeship Advisor is an exciting role designed to support GTR with the on-going delivery of apprenticeship programmes across the business.

Reporting into the Apprenticeship Specialist this role will provide support and guidance to GTR by ensuring that the quality of our programmes meets the required standards both internally and externally, ensuring that all key stakeholders are fully engaged and receive the appropriate communications and that all records are maintained in line with Group, ESFA and OFSTED standards.

The role is also responsible for the welfare and progress of all apprentices in GTR, ensuring they are making the necessary progress and feel fully supported on their learning journey. You will be successful by building strong relationships across the People community, GTR, Go Ahead Group and industry partners.

You will play an integral role to the successful delivery of apprenticeship programmes at GTR by providing a professional service to the team and becoming a point of contact for all aspects of apprenticeship programme delivery.

***Principal accountabilities**
- Champion apprenticeships across GTR building awareness and understanding across the organisation.
- Monitor and support apprentices' progress through regular meetings and 12-week reviews
- Provide structured plans to support staff and managers working through their apprenticeship
- Ensure Safeguarding and PREVENT arrangements are in place across all apprenticeship programmes highlighting any concerns through recognised channels
- Ensure compliance with both ESFA and OFSTED requirements

**Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications**

The role requires the following blend of experience/knowledge and behaviours
- A passion for apprenticeships and developing others
- An awareness of Safeguarding and Prevent regulations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience working of working with other IT database packages such as OneFile and Maytas (desirable)
- Experience of conducting development needs analysis and creating personal development plans
- Excellent organisational skills
- Conversant with OFSTED's Inspection Framework
