Position: Compliance, Health and Safety Manager
Location: Prudhoe: NE42 6PL
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Take responsibility for the full scope of HSE activities and carry out regular reviews.
- To create Health & Safety improvement plans and manage the implementation of Health & Safety initiatives.
- Oversee that trends, accidents / incidents are investigated, root causes highlighted and any necessary improvements implemented.
- Control of fleet maintenance, including MOT's, service and defects.
- To provide training and development in order to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained.
- Provide regular communication, reports on performance and issues to all stakeholders.
- Ensure all legal and policy obligations are met.

- Previous experience working in a Health and Safety role within a logistics operation.
- IT literate - prior use of Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Excellent Communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Experience working within transport is advantageous, but not essential.
- IOSH Certification is advantageous.
- CPC Transport Manager is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of Transport Operations, Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours is desirable.
