**JOB SUMMARY**

Silvaco is looking for interns to join the TCAD Group. As part of this internship, the interns will work to update and expand Silvaco’s TCAD example set and update product documentation. The intern will gain skills and become more proficient in Semiconductor Device Modeling as well as technical writing and technical presentation. Furthermore, interns will have an opportunity to pursue some independent research work utilizing Silvaco tools that could align with graduate research studies.We are looking for a curious, open-minded spirit.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to**:

- Assist with testing, formatting, and publication of new TCAD examples.
- Review existing TCAD training materials and collaterals and identify gaps in materials. Help identify a plan to rectify gaps and help produce initial updated material
- Work closely with teamto better understand tool usage, as part of process to achieve objectives above.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- Junior/Senior-level undergraduate or Graduate student (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Knowledge and coursework in semiconductor device physics and processing
- Experience with Linux operating systems, scripting a plus
- Experience with C/C++/Matlab programming as part of modeling semiconductor device physics a plus
- Basic/Good presentation skills, communication skills and technical writing skills desired. Intern will be asked to give internal reports and presentations and will be coached on presentation and writing skills.
- Desire to expand skillset, work independently and take on projects efficiently
- TCAD Experience
- Experience in semiconductor industry preferred.
- Experience in international and remote team building preferred.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Prolonged periods of sitting and typing
- Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
- Ability to lift (up) to 15 pounds at times.

All Silvaco salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
