About the Role

DS Smith have an exciting opportunity for an established Demand Planner to join our UK Supply Chain team and facilitate the build of the monthly S&OP Demand Plan for key business areas.

As Demand Planner you will report into the S&OP Manager - UK and work closely with key stakeholders in Demand, Supply and Finance to gather and interpret data sets to produce plans and models to estimate future demand for our products. In this role you will carry out regular meetings with account managers to gather data and information to analyse and produce communicating reports and estimations to senior management.

About you

We are looking for a people person with an ability to quickly build strong and professional relationships and capable of influencing differing stakeholders with differing perspectives and priorities to achieve objectives. They will have confidence in their decision making and be able to resolve conflict and propose solutions to problems and think outside the box and challenge the ‘status quo’.- Proven work experience as a Demand Planner or a similar role- Methodical and logical approach to problem solving in a multi-disciplined environment - a high attention to detail is essential.- Strong analytical skills, with ability to turn data into information to drive decision making- operate in a matrix organization with a national mindset- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
