Payroller - Part Time

We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to cover a 12 month maternity cover. This is a PART TIME position - approx 3 days per week and will be based in South Shields. The role is mainly office based, potential for 1 day working from home
You will be report to the Payroll Controller.
- To assist in the provision of an effective payroll, expenses and pension function
- Assist with day to day processing and, administration of all payrolls
- Input of all timesheets, overtime, expenses and additional payments into Sage, using both manual and digital upload
- Liaison with business areas to ensure time is accurately recorded and approved in time for payroll processing
- Assist with external queries and reporting
- Liaison with external agencies, including HMRC and CSA
- RTI submissions, P11D’s and PSA etc
- Monthly reconciliation of group payroll deductions
- Processing of employee expenses
- Provide cover for the duties of the Payroll Controller
- The provision of support and assistance to other members of the Finance Department as and when required
- Assist in any ad hoc payroll projects that may arise.
The above list is not exhaustive and other duties may be attached to the post from time to time. Variations may also occur to the duties and responsibilities without changing the general character of the post.
You will be confident in all aspects of payroll and ideally have experience of using Sage. It is important you are a team player and be a strong communicator.
