Job description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team based in Lowestoft on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role will suit a Finance Assistant who is seeking to work with an established organisation that is constantly evolving and growing. This is a hands-on role and would be suited to someone who has experience with, and the enthusiasm for, streamlining accounting processes and procedures, whilst ensuring the smooth running of all financial activities including financial accounting and Payroll.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To assist the Managing Director in the planning, management and development of the company processes.
- To prepare budgets, forecasts and statistics as required.
- Responsible for all aspects of the company’s finances.
- Manage the relationship with the group’s auditors and other advisers.
- Ensuring all financial information is compiled and submitted in a timely manner to meet mandatory deadlines.
- To ensure the appropriate financial controls are in place and monitored across the company.
- Cashflow management, control and forecasting.
- Management of a small finance team.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**:

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or by experience.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and a good communicator.
- Attention to detail, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Team player willing to get stuck in and assist the Finance team.
- A proactive problem solver.
- Excel skills and proficient in financial software packages such as Sage and Sage Payroll and or Intacct software.
- Logistics and hire knowledge would be considered an advantage.
