Scotland Advisory Board Member

Edinburgh, United Kingdom UNICEF UK Full time

The UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) has built a strong presence in Scotland over many years through several principal strands of work. In 2015, a dedicated office was established in Edinburgh to support UNICEF UK to deliver on our mandate to uphold ‘the Convention of the Rights of the Child’. In addition, UNICEF UK in Scotland has a well-established Advisory Board in Scotland, and we are now seeking additional board members.

We desire a board that reflects the diversity of our colleagues we attract and the communities we work with. We want each member of the Advisory Board to bring their individual, unique worldview, their life experience, specific skills, knowledge, and networks, to collectively help the Board provide sound advice and counsel to the UNICEF UK team and support the delivery of our strategy.

If you have experience in any of the following areas, we would like to hear from you:

- Working with children and young people and knowledge of the sector in Scotland
- Knowledge or personal experience of international development
- Experience of working within the private sector (for example CSR/tech/finance)

We also welcome applicants who may not have served on a board, but have had board exposure at a senior level and who are now open to volunteering at UNICEF UK in Scotland to support the delivery of its strategic objectives.
