This role is an opportunity to be involved in supporting Ocado's Scope 3 Supply Chain carbon agenda and Net Zero ambitions across a range of activities, from strategy, reporting, forecasting, supplier engagement, process and management systems, data maturity, benchmarks and disclosures.

The Carbon Scope 3 Analyst will sit in Ocado Technology's Responsible Supply Chain team, which drives the strategy and operationalisation of Ocado's corporate level commitments on social responsibility and environmental sustainability across the global supply chain. You can expect to be working on things like:

- Developing and implementing the global supplier engagement on carbon scope 3, building awareness, engagement, and understanding of Ocado's Net Zero programme.
- Working closely with our external 3rd party to automate and improve data collection from suppliers over time and match that to Ocado data collection methods.
- Develop an understanding of what constitutes credible emissions reduction, what we should expect from suppliers, and processes to track that.
- Collaborate with Ocado's supply chain procurement teams and technology development product teams to connect the dots, integrate and embed environmental considerations, including carbon footprints, into business processes.
- Design and deliver training on sustainable procurement processes and standard methodologies for the procurement function and partners.
- Support implementation plans for Scope 3 program and initiatives internally and with suppliers.
- Support on communicating our programme and scope 3 goals to raise internal teams and supplier awareness.
- Input and support for ESG teams on corporate reporting e.g. TCFD, annual report, ISSB sustainability reporting on data, progress, risks, opportunities.
- Support wider topics on environmental sustainability as needed e.g. EcoVadis environmental and carbon assessment analysis and review, internal updates on supplier environmental performance.
- Input and shape the environmental sustainability agenda on topics linked to carbon reduction such as circular economy, recycling, materials usage, waste reduction etc.

***What we're looking for**:

- Willingness to undertake a variety of work due to the dynamic nature of the evolving supply chain sustainability agenda.
- Curious mindset and can do attitude.
- Familiarity with greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting standards such as GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain
- (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard, ISO 14067 Carbon Product Footprinting Standard, TCFD Reporting Framework.
- Ability to engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Previous hands-on work experience processing large volumes of data in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Demonstrated success in complex project development and management.
- Knowledge of supply chain carbon & sustainability benchmarks and assessment tools is a plus.
- Understanding of relevant carbon regulations, and regulatory bodies is a plus.
