**About the role**:
We're excited to offer a fantastic job opportunity for a Finance Analyst. This role holds significance within our UK Logistics team and involves close collaboration with the Finance Business Partner. The position offers a blend of office and flexible work arrangements, requiring you to spend two days a week at our Hatfield office. Your responsibility will be to manage a section of our budget (P&L), gaining an understanding of costs and budget operations. Additionally, you'll craft concise reports to present vital information to our business partners. Your key duties encompass finalizing financial tasks at the close of each period, interpreting account figures within your scope, comparing budget data with actual expenditure, scrutinizing the balance sheet, identifying potential risks and opportunities, contributing to budget creation and updates, addressing audit inquiries and modifications, and providing support for mid-year and year-end financial closings. As a finance analyst, you'll foster robust connections with key personnel in the company, actively participating in meetings to discuss financial matters, projects, and avenues for improvement. This engagement will greatly enrich your understanding of our company and its objectives.

**About you**:
To excel in this role, you should possess a qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or a comparable certification. You should be adept at tasks like analysing financial data, reviewing balance sheets, and concluding financial processes at the end of each period. Your profile reflects logical and commercial thinking, sustained motivation, and proficiency in using tools like Excel and prevalent accounting software such as Oracle. Effective time management and adapting to change is crucial, especially during busy periods. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to communicate with diverse colleagues, even those outside the finance domain. Your ability to inquire about the development of plans and budgets is a valuable asset.
