Our fabulous #SBCS is expanding and are now on the lookout for a motivated individual with drive and passion for person-centred care to join them as a Lead Practitioner covering our Galashiels community service and a new service providing 24 hour support for 2 ladies in Galashiels.

Our Community Support team supports individuals outside Galashiels including St Boswells, Hawick and Jedburgh areas.

**The Role**

The role of Lead Practitioner is pivotal in empowering the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, including line management of a staff team and direct support as part of your rota.

As a Lead Practitioner, you'll demonstrate great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and alongside our Service Lead, will lead and inspire your teams of Support Practitioners. You'll be fully supported as you begin your career into management where you will learn how best to coach and mentor your teams to ensure professionalism, accountability and engagement resulting in the delivering of first class, high quality care.

**What we'll need you to bring;**
- A passion for and experience of delivering high quality, person-centred care and support
- Sound knowledge of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards
- Proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with supported individuals, their families and other stakeholders
- The ability to lead others and work collaboratively
- Great communication skills; both verbal and written
- A commitment to undertake and achieve a SVQ Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 7 qualification and PDA in Health & Social Care Supervision (if not already attained).

**Shift patterns**

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work 5 out of 7 days. There may be occasions where we will need you to be flexible to work evenings, sleepovers, waking nights and weekends due to the needs of our services. On call duties will also form part of your role on a rotational basis.
