**Your new opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Quarriers Resilience for Wellbeing Service as a **Resilience Practitioner** based in our community work provision, Breaking Down Barriers, to work with **Scottish Borders** Youth and Senior Ruby Clubs.

The Resilience for Wellbeing Service supports young people through one to one sessions and small group work across the Scottish Borders which uses a holistic model of support to improve and promote emotional wellbeing, to build capacity to cope when times are tough, to normalise the topic of mental health and introduce strategies that promote self-help and self-care.

The focus of this role is to support the rugby club community to assist them in supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young adults aged 16+. As a **Resilience Practitioner** you will support youth organisations to promote a positive culture around mental health, normalising mental health support while tackling mental health stigma and challenging discrimination.

**Working pattern**:This is a full time role working 35 hours per week. You will be required to deliver support in a flexible way to meet the needs of others, this will be a blend to face to face and virtually. It will also include working evenings and weekends.

**What you will need to bring to the role**
- Experience of working with people on a 1:1 and in a group setting is essential.
- A relevant qualification in counselling skills, education, health, social work, social care or sports and an understanding of mental health.
- A full driving licence is essential due to the nature of the work and georgraphical area.
- An interest in rugby would be an advantage and experience in presenting a delivering training in a group setting.
- An excellent communicator who is passionate about community partnership working.
