Is so, Quarriers has a great role for you as a Resilience Practitioner located in Berwickshire, Scottish Borders**
Due to service expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join **Quarriers Resilience for Wellbeing Service** as a **Resilience Practitioner** based in Berwickshire High School.
As a **Resilience Practitioner **you will support young people through one to one sessions and small group work within schools helping them to build confidence needed to achieve their goals and ambitions. You will mentor and support each person to develop resilience during tough times and provide support which will allow them to manage life's ups and downs more effectively when feeling anxious, stressed, worried, overwhelmed, or low and prevent their getting drawn into damaging risk-taking behaviours. You will lead on supportive sessions covering topics such as emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship challenges, transition, sleep and safety planning across schools located in the Berwickshire areas.
**What you will need to bring to the role**
- Experience of working with young people to support their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Previous experience of working one to one in a group setting.
- A relevant qualification in counselling skills, education, health, social work or social care.
- Understanding of children's development in relation to attachment theory.
- Due to the nature of the work and geographical area a driving licence is essential along with access to your own vehicle.
