An exciting opportunity has risen to join the General Medicine Care Unit as Care Unit Coordinator.

You will show good leadership and communication skills, be able to deal with complex and varied information and be flexible and compassionate to the needs of the service receivers and team members.

You will receive regular supervision and guidance from colleagues and management to support you in this role and you will be supported to develop your knowledge-base and skill. There will be opportunity to engage in varied, leadership development training within the organisation and be supported to develop their career.

You will be expected to lead, motivate and influence individuals, have excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to juggle the competing demands of the role whilst supporting the Care Unit

The Care unit Coordinator is a leadership role within our organisation. Leading the Chesterfield Way supports the Trust’s priorities and ambitions - and sets out the behaviours and characteristics that leaders are expected to adopt and that all staff can role model, to make the Trust an even better place to work; and to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. It provides a framework for leadership and supports individual progression through appraisal, career progression and personal development.
1. To manage staff as agreed in Care Units, providing leadership and
2. To manage on a day-to-day basis the provision of an efficient and effective administrative To establish and maintain standards and ensure these are audited and regularly reviewed.
3. To proactively manage the recruitment and selection process for all the administrative staff in the Care
4. To prioritise training and development needs and undertake appraisals for staff to ensure that each individual’s potential is maximised and the Trust’s organisational objectives are
5. Manage the performance of administrative staff as
6. To act as a professional lead for administrative staff and coordinate workload for this group of staff
7. To ensure relevant rotas are filled and to manage sick leave, annual leave and other absence for all administrative staff
8. To balance the workload across the Care Unit ensuring all local requirements are resourced and targets are
9. To ensure that all administrative processes are appropriately This includes, but is not limited to, salary returns, sickness records, complaints, ordering of stock and non-stock items on Agresso, actioning invoices etc.
