**Business Operations Assistant**

**Salary**: £23,000 per year (pro rata) plus pension. 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (pro rata). Performance Related Bonus. Private Health Insurance. Annual Leave Purchase Scheme.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: The Retrofit Academy, Dunston Business Village, Stafford. Hybrid working arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis.

Basis of Employment: 3 days a week or equivalent, working days to be discussed, maternity cover.

The Organisation

The Retrofit Academy (TRA) is a Community Interest Company dedicated to improving the sustainability of the UK’s housing stock. Our vision is a world where every home is warm, healthy and low carbon and our mission is to train and develop over 200,000 competent retrofitters by 2030. We measure our success based on our impact, not our balance sheet. We have become a key partner to government and industry in the journey towards net zero and are the UK’s leading retrofit training and skills organisation.

We have developed six leading retrofit qualifications as well as six other retrofit training courses and have already trained 6,000 retrofitters. We have established vibrant partnerships with government bodies, local authorities, training providers and major retrofit clients and contractors nationwide. Our impact on the retrofit skills sector is impressive and is something we are keen to strengthen.

The Role

We are looking for a Business Operations Assistant to join our dynamic, friendly, and professional Corporate Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding business and make a real impact in a team that provides critical corporate support services such as operations, systems and processes, human resources, health and safety and finance.

Person Specification

We are looking for a hard-working individual with a positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn. You will need great attention to detail and be able to work equally well in a team and on independent tasks. You'll need to juggle a number of tasks at any one time so the ability to prioritise and manage your time will be really important.

You need to be willing to provide new ideas and always be looking for ways in which our processes can be improved. A commitment to continuous improvement is necessary.

You will want to work in a fast-paced environment and be at ease with frequent change.

You will be able to work effectively with colleagues across The Retrofit Academy.

You will enjoy the culture of a scale-up business in which innovation and “staying ahead of the game” is central to what we do.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to keep information confidential.

Key Responsibilities

1) Assist the Senior leadership team with diary management and admin

2) Assist the Corporate Team with reporting and analysis

3) Assist in the arranging of travel, accommodation and internal events

4) Assist the Corporate Team with implementing changes to processes

5) Assist the Corporate Team with administration surrounding Finance, Operations, HR and more

6) Provide analysis on the performance of different areas within the business

7) Supporting with projects as appropriate to the role.

8) Assist in internal audits

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

To be considered for this role you should demonstrate the following qualifications, knowledge, experience, and qualities:
**Qualifications**:

- Essential - GCSE English and Maths at grade C (or grade 4) or above
- Essential - Minimum 2 years office experience including use of CRM and other cloud based systems
- Other business/ICT qualifications are desirable but not essential

Personal Qualities
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Digitally literate and has experience with CRM systems
