**Outskirts of Cardiff**
**Permanent Full Time 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:30 to 14:00 on Friday**
**Salary £26000 negotiable depending on experience**
WB Employment are looking to recruit a Production Scheduler for their client, a specialist manufacturer on the outskirts of Cardiff. Please note, due to the location, own transport is mandatory.
**Job Purpose**:
Effective planning ensure maximum utilisation of the plant and people, which will drive budgeted levels of profitability to be exceeded.
**Reporting To**:
Reporting directly to Support Systems Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Interface with customers to ensure their requirements are understood and that best of supply date is given.
- Communicate quickly when orders submitted cannot be met on day requested to offer them an alternative.
- Build good relationships with customers which will enable effective resolution of any supply date variances.
- Interfacing with Customer Service Administrator, ensure that defect rework dates are communicated.
- Create, agree with manufacturing, and issue schedules within agreed parameters.
- Interface with Customer Service Administrator and manufacturing team members as required to ensure schedule requirements are fully communicated.
- Ensure that whilst agreed parameters are observed, scheduling maximises plant uptime.
- Manage ad-hoc projects as requested.
- To carry out the raising of works orders.
- To maintain and regulate powder stock control.
- Communicate order intake and lead times.
- First line for customer complaints
- To maintain any customer smart sheets (as requested)
- Liaise with Customer service to support transport requirements.
- To take daily production meetings.
- Assist Support Systems Support Manager as required.
- Approach customer change requests based on the 2-question scenario, and if we can answer Yes to both then we do it, if not what is the best option, we can offer?
- Do we have materials?
- Can we achieve requirements without affecting other customers?
**Key Skills**:
- Good standard of PC skills.
- Able to work as part of a team, and individually.
- Good telephone manners.
- Able to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Able to multitask, and prioritise workloads based upon requirements/KPI.
- Time management.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
- Previous experience in a scheduling role.
- Previous Firefly system experience desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
