To do this, we develop and manufacture thermal energy storage solutions. A heat battery system that is highly efficient, non-toxic and uses Phase Change Materials.
We are an innovative company and by using Phase Change Materials and pioneering technology we can help tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions. Our Thermino batteries, which we manufacture in Scotland at our site have already been installed in thousands of homes and even supplied worldwide.
**Your new role**
Working as part of our production team, by carrying out the assembly of Sunamp’s products. All roles will be based in Midlothian (East).
Working in the factory assembling and filling the range of Sunamp products:
- Production of basic mechanical assemblies
- Plastic welding
- Mixing of non-toxic chemical materials
- Electronics assembly
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
Checking for damaged or missing items, recording missing and damaged stock
Keeping an accurate record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.
Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely (especially chemicals and HX) and labelled correctly and safely.
Collecting orders from the production team, packaging them, and load on transport vehicle.
Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and production areas on a daily basis.
Following the relevant Sunamp work instructions and Health and Safety, environmental and quality procedures.
**What you will need to succeed**
If climate change and making a difference is a vision you also share and are passionate about, and you have a manufacturing skill set, this could be the next role for you.
**Your previous experience**
You will be reliable and show a willingness to learn, and recognise the importance in following health, safety, environmental and quality processes and ways of working. Ideally you will have worked in a similar role and environment, and will be familiar with the importance of such processes.
Experience of assembly lines/high volume manufacturing experience is also essential and required, as is the understanding of warehouses and how they operate.
Forklift license is required.
**Preferable**
Preferred, although training would be provided is experience in plastic welding and knowledge of low voltage electronics.
