Role Profile

Throughout the operators shift, they will manage the safety of the centre’s customers and employees through highly effective communicating skills and ensuring this is completed via the approved communication channels of any incidents or faults, appropriately through the escalation procedure
- To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and customers
- To carry and adhere to the company policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of the client's premises, staff and customers
- Report activities to the police whilst issuing accurate and timely descriptions and locations
- To lawfully deter potential troublemakers from the centre
- To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
- To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible to
- Accurately update control room documentation through the production of recording of footage and provide an accurate witness statement.
- To ensure knowledge is kept up to date from the SIA Code of Practice
- Provide the centre management team and colleagues any relevant local knowledge identified to enable safe use of the centre for its staff and customers
- Demonstrate good understanding the implementation of any fire and safety evacuation procedures
- To assist, if required by the client, with staff or contractor searches
- To ensure that the security control room is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
- Ability to work as an individual or part of a small team
- This position will be working on a shift pattern of days and nights which does also include weekends._

**Salary**: £11.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- security: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- SIA (required)
