**What’s the role all about**:
**Role Description**

The role will support the development and deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives for the KBS Maritime business and site(s).

The role will be responsible for providing competent SHEQ support, coordination and administration enabling KBS Maritime to successfully manage SHE and to achieve the company’s strategic goals. The role does not involve the direct supervision of any employees.

**Role Purpose**

The role holder will:

- Work as part of a small multidisciplinary SHE team, providing support to the wider business wherever possible.
- Provide competent and comprehensive coordination and support to SHE team and other business areas, supporting them to effectively manage SHE within their area(s) of responsibility.
- Support the SHE Team and wider business through coordinating SHE and other training and delivery by third parties.
- Support the administration of a SHE software package, called OSHENS to track, manage and report SHE incidents.
- Support the development and maintenance of the SHE management system documents.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, supporting them to manage SHE information during decision making.
- Deliver duties to appropriate timescales and to budget.
- Provide regular SHE reports, on all of the above, to relevant stakeholders.
**Role Responsibilities**

Be seen by internal and external stakeholders as a go-to coordinator for the SHE team within KBS Maritime. Role holder will spend a large proportion of their time providing SHE support for the management teams across the business or site(s) to meet organisation strategic goals.

**Key Experience**:
The role holder will be an experienced admin professional and able to use their experience in order to ensure effective deployment of SHE within the business. The role requires an in depth understanding of systems including training, software, Microsoft and other IT programmes.

The job holder would ideally hold a basic understanding of safety, health and environmental management standards and practice.

The role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of the business or site(s) and externally. Stakeholders include (not limited to) departmental Line Managers, Employee Representatives, Employees, Suppliers and Customers. The job holder should be able to demonstrate integrity, credibility and maturity to gain the confidence and respect of others.
