**JOB PURPOSE**

Working closely with building and quantity surveyors providing them with proactive and accurate administrative support to optimise workflow procedures. Supporting a small group of surveyors, you will be a team player, have a high level of customer serviceskills with can do attitude.

**MAIN DUTIES**
- Answering external and internal calls, dealing with queries and directing where appropriate.
- Meet and greet visitors to the office.
- Audio typing.
- Fulfil the admin support required by the office such as correspondence, reports, presentations, databases, letters, minutes tender documents and submissions.
- Organise and coordinate appointments, meetings, travel arrangements and team social events.
- Maintain filing systems and archives.
- Check and sign for deliveries and contribute to the postal run every week.
- Other general administrative duties, including ad-hoc projects.
- This is indicative of the role, however, there will be other duties and responsibilities that you may be required to undertake from time to time.

**KEY SKILLS**
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent
- RSA II or equivalent or proven keyboard experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional office environment in an administration/secretarial role.
- Audio typing and previous experience in the construction industry would be desirable but not essential
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Be proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Good management and prioritisation of workload
- Ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines
- Work individually or in a team, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and formatting skills
- Capable of using your initiative
- Be proactive, flexible and adaptable
