Warehouse Operative

Responsibilities:

- Receive and process incoming stock and materials
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other equipment
- Perform inventory control and maintain accurate records using a warehouse management system (WMS) or AS400
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
- Assist in building pallets or crates for shipping purposes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or AS400 is a plus
- Proficient in picking, packing, stocking, and building orders accurately
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: £10.75-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Flexitime
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Kettering, Northamptonshire (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Kettering, Northamptonshire: Relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: In person
