Exceptional Housekeeper

PowderMills is a busy 4-star country house hotel set in an 85 acre estate with woodland, lakes and gardens with a rich gunpowder making history. We are just 15-20 minutes from Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill areas and are now hiring housekeepers to join our friendly team. Experience is preferred. but not essential as full training can be given.

Working with great housekeeping supervisors and head housekeeper who will enable you to deliver cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms/shower rooms and public areas of the hotel so that they are presented to the highest standards.

General duties are as follows:
1. Carry out the housekeeping duties allocated to you demonstrating great care and pride in your work.
2. Participate in our induction programme and receive on job training if required.
3. 'Self-check' your allocated bedrooms and bathrooms daily prior to guest occupation to ensure high cleaning standards are achieved.
4. Be a good team player by helping other members of the team, if required, to ensure all rooms are ready for guests to check-in from 3pm.
5. Ensure 'everything works' in the bedrooms and public areas by reporting any maintenance issues to the in-house team so that they are rectified with mínimal delay.

We operate a 'fair and transparent' service charge scheme and we will also pay you a share of service charges received from our guests and 100% of all gratuities are paid out to the team without any deductions. Further details are available on request.

Flexi-time: a variable number of hours are available with flexible start and end times over 4/5 days per week meaning we can try and meet hours to suit your needs.

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
