**Job Title: Compliance Officer**

**General Outline of Job**

To work closely with and assist the Practice Manager with the day to day activities required to maintain service and governance within the practice.

Responsible to: Practice Manager à Partners

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Health & Safety, ICT & Premises**
- Complete and record all risk assessments and audits for premises, facilities, security, processes, cleaning and maintenance.
- Annual H&S visit, audit and actions.
- Complete all Fire audits for equipment, exits, fire drills.
- Action any premises maintenance issues that arise, liaising with contractors etc.
- Handle and resolve any ICT related issues that arise, liaising with NECs if required to ensure minimum interruption to service for all staff.
- Support Practice Manager in implementing improvements and monitoring/completing all actions.
- Action meter reading requests

**Statutory and non-statutory returns**
- Complete all daily, weekly, monthly, annual statutory and non-statutory returns including but not limited to:

- Update Opel/GP status (daily/weekly)
- Dispensing Service Quality Scheme sign up and assessment
- Annual Data Security & Protection toolkit
- NHS Complaints audit
- Workforce planning returns
- Safeguarding audit
- Annual eDEC (Practice declaration)
- Update Safeguarding information received on patient records and registers and run searches

**Compliance checks**
- Complete all regular checks to ensure maintenance of processing on System1 including:

- Tasks
- Pathology
- Letters.
- Information Governance including:

- Privacy notices
- Data Processing Impact Assessments

**Complaints**
- Receive and acknowledge complaints and liaise with PM and/or partners to resolve

**Maintain TeamNet to ensure governance**
- Maintain significant/learning events and action logs to completion
- Log complaints, actions and outcomes.
- Log new safety alerts and ensure all staff have acknowledged
- Support management to maintain staff training and HR checks
- Maintain premises checks once audits completed
- Monitor outstanding items on TeamNet and chase/feedback to management

**Other duties**
- Plan and set rota's and induction plans for new Registrars
- Check Summary Care Record updates daily on Systm1 and action if required.

**In addition**:
Any other duties, as required on the advice or instruction of the Practice Manager, or Doctors.

A flexible approach to working hours may be needed at times in order to meet the demands of the service.

Annual training requirements and updates must be completed. (Alteration/additional hours may be required to suit specific course schedules).

**At all times**
- To maintain a confidential environment.
- To participate in practice training.
- To observe and adhere to the practice health and safety-policy.
- The reporting of any damages or faults as per current practice policy.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,800.00 per year
