HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Basic Salary: £40,000

Location: Thurrock

Annual earnings: £40,000

Shift Pattern: Alternating early and late shift. 42 ½ hours per week.
- Week 1
- Monday - Friday: 6.00 am - 3.00 pm.
- Week 2
- Monday - Friday: 2.00 pm - 11.00 pm.

Alternate Saturdays paid at time and half 7 am - 2 pm (when workload permits)

We are currently looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join our clients Depot in Thurrock. Applicants must be skilled and experienced at; MOT preparation, repairing, diagnosing, servicing and maintaining heavy good vehicles to a high standard.

This is what you'll be doing:

- Performing planned and reactive repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers
- Performing planned inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as MOT Prep
- Working within the team to help diagnose fault to completion of repair
- Competent in completing relevant electronic documentation and paperwork as required to defined standards
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust

This is what we're looking for:

- Qualified at NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent (heavy vehicles)
- Experienced and able to undertake all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair to a high standard.
- Have a high regard to producing quality workmanship
- Be able to work in a high paced environment
- Own tool kit
- Able to write up job cards concisely
- Current car driving licence (HGV & PSV desirable but not essential)
- IRTEC qualification but not essential
