HGV Driver

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 or 2 HGV Driver to join our team at our Thurrock site. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from our client locations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out driving and related duties involved with the carriage of goods, ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with road traffic regulations.
- Oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises, ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned promptly.
- Check load security and weight distribution according to latest safe working practices before and after each drop.
- As required, operate mobile equipment to load and/or unload vehicles.
- Follow best practices for fuel-efficient driving.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and take responsibility for maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle.
- Identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace and ensure vehicles are in safe condition.
- Full DCPC
- Experience working in a flexible, results-oriented team environment
- 35 hours of training for DCPC
- HGV driving skills and license for appropriate vehicle class
- Able to read written instructions and record work accurately
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements in a warehouse or distribution environment
