BurtonOnTrent, United Kingdom Parental Education Growth Support (PEGS) Full time

Parental Educational Growth Support (PEGS) is looking to expand its team.

PEGS is a social enterprise working to reduce the individual and societal impact of Child to Parent Abuse (CPA). The organisation has four main aims: supporting parents, training professionals, raising awareness, and influencing policy.

PEGS specifically supports parents, carers and guardians impacted by CPA (thought to be at least 3% of UK households) and does not work directly with the child, although we do refer to many other organisations to ensure the child is also receiving appropriate support.

Our core values centre on creating safe spaces for parents to be able to share their experiences, supporting anyone no matter the age of their child (including adult offspring), and ensuring parent services remain free for anyone using them so there are no financial barriers to access help.

We are looking to appoint 1 x CPA Practitioner: 1 part time role on a 1 year fixed term contract to provide high-quality, person-centred support to parents, carers and guardians, ensuring their voices are heard. This will be through consultations, advocacy, delivery of our bespoke group support programmes and facilitating virtual drop-in sessions offering peer group support. - Salary 16 hours, part time £10,400

- Upon successful completion of your probation period, you will be entitled to make use of a Paycare Health Cash Plan, paid for by PEGS. This allows you to claim cash back on a range of everyday healthcare such as optical and dental appointments, physiotherapy and chiropody. In addition, Paycare has a 24/7 GP appointment service, a confidential telephone support and counselling line (also known as an Employee Assistance Programme), and a discount scheme with offers on everything from utility and the weekly shop to holidays and sports equipment
- We are a Disability Confident Committed Employer | The DWP Disability Confident scheme aims to improve the experiences of disabled people in the workplace. PEGS is currently at Level 1 of the three-part programme and is working towards Level 2.
