As a specialist in Domestic Abuse Support (Intensive Support), you'll work with individuals and families residing in refuge, community homes, and supported accommodation, offering tailored, person-centered support to help them overcome the challenges they face. Your role is crucial in assisting our clients in achieving their objectives and leading a life free from abuse.

Position Overview:

  • Collaborate with clients to identify their unique support requirements and deliver personalized assistance.
  • Participate in a multi-agency approach to address clients' needs, which may involve organizing meetings and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  • Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of available local services for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Support clients, advocate on their behalf, and facilitate their transition to stable housing or safe return home with the necessary skills and backing to live independently.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience aiding adults with complex issues like relationship abuse and mental health challenges.
  • Proficient in managing personal data and adhering to GDPR regulations.
  • Empathetic understanding of individuals in abusive relationships.
  • Updated knowledge of current affairs, laws concerning domestic abuse, welfare reforms, and homelessness.
  • Strong ICT, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Hold a valid UK driver's license and own vehicle for job-related travels.
  • Must undergo a DBS check.
