- Our client Parklanes Wikeham Childcare is seeking 2 dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Club Assistant to join their team. As an After-School Club Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during after-school hours. You will support the Club Leader in organizing and supervising activities, ensuring the well-being of the children, and promoting their social, emotional, and intellectual development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Club Leader in planning and implementing a variety of age-appropriate activities and programs for children attending the after-school club.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable, respected, and supported.
- Supervise and monitor children's behavior, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Engage children in recreational activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
- Foster positive social interactions among children, promoting teamwork, respect, and cooperation.
- Assist children with homework assignments and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of age-appropriate skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and promptly report any accidents or incidents to the Club Leader.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and activity logs.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's participation and progress.
- Collaborate with the Club Leader and other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the after-school club.
- Uphold and enforce the club's policies and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certifications in child development, education, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience working with children in a supervised setting, such as an after-school program, summer camp, or daycare.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and nurturing environment for children.
- Basic knowledge of child safety guidelines and procedures.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
