Patient Services Assistant

York sleep and ventilation service are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in an exciting new role, as a patient services assistant (PSA).
The PSA has a direct role in working closely with the healthcare staff to facilitate a number of service processes and tasks which includes: preparing and assisting in out patient clinics.
You must also be able to demonstrate good communication skills as you will be working closely and building effective relationships with colleagues from other healthcare professions. Previous experience in care provision or hospital based domestic services is desirable but training in the role will be provided and on-going training and advice are available from our experienced and supportive team.
Reporting to the band 7 clinical lead you will be working alongside the admin and nursing helping with the general running of the service including:
Answering the phone alongside general office duties and posting out equipment
Assisting with the diagnostic clinics, which includes the cleaning of sleep study devices, downloading recordings and also associating devices to clinic lists.
Postal and face to face CPAP set up clinics, this includes the setting up CPAP machines, stocking trolleys, and preparing stock and devices ready for posting.
You will also be involved in the unpacking of stores and the monitoring of stock levels.
